1 cup softened butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
5 drops red food coloring
2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup crushed peppermint candy
6 milk chocolate candy bars

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and butter together. Blend in egg, peppermint extract and food coloring. In a separate bowl, combine salt and flour. Mix into egg mixture to make smooth batter. Mix in half of the peppermint candy (the remainder is used for the topping). Spread batter into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until firm.
While still hot, top with the chocolate candy and allow it to melt. Spread chocolate evenly across top of cookie. Sprinkle with remaining peppermint candy. Cut into bars.
