WE SCANNED MARGARET'S RECIPE AND IT IS IN THE BACK OF THE BOOK, IT IS IN HER OWN HANDWRITING. IT IS HER STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS THAT SHE WROTE DOWN AND GAVE TO SHANNA RUML MOKE AS A WEDDING SHOWER GIFT. TERRI ANN MAYER ALSO PUT HER GRANDMA LENORA FRIEDERICH'S RECIPE IN AND I BELIEVE THAT IS THE SAME ONE MARGARET USED. I LOVED HER CHERRY KUCHEN, IT WAS THE BEST. HER'S WERE A LITTLE BIT SWEETER THAN SOME OTHERS.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When Shanna and Tim got married, Shanna wanted Kuchen instead of wedding cake. I said "Who is going to make enough Kuchen for 400 people" She said, " My Aunts" and so Norma, Margaret, Sylvia and Tims Grandma's Stella Klumb and Irene Moke made kuchen. Everyone loved it. Shanna had often gone to Aunt Norma's house and helped her make kuchen when she had days off from school and she was in the 7th or 8th grade and she knew Norma was baking. So Margaret knew that Shanna loved her kuchen and gave her the special Friederich recipe. ( and I did have a carrot cake made for the groom, that was his favorite and they still had a cake to cut).
