4 quarts (medium to large) cucumbers (chopped)
3 large green peppers (chopped)
4 onions (chopped)
1/3 cup salt

Solution:
3 cups white vinegar
5 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Place chopped cucumbers, peppers, & onions in container. Pour salt over mixture and cover with a layer of ice. Let stand for 3 hours. Use a colander to drain salt water from cucumbers. Press out as much water as possible.

Next, mix solution (in a large pot) vinegar, sugar, turmeric, celery seed, and garlic powder and bring to a boil. Add cucumbers to solution and bring back to a boil and simmer 5 minutes or until cucumbers change color. Fill to neck of pint jars. Wipe top of jars. Put lids and rings. Tighten as much as possible. Set aside to seal. *Heat jars in oven @ 200º before filling jars.
