Rinse strawberries in cold water then hull. Slice. (It will preserve the texture.) Measure 4 c of strawberries into a bowl. Add 3/4 c of sugar. Toss lightly. Let sugar dissolve for a few minutes. Bag in desired amounts. Seal and freeze immediately.
