Directions:
Line bottom of a baking pan with sliced onions, place brisket fat side up on the onions, pour coffee mixed with Maggi or Kitchen Bouquet over the meat and sprinkle generously with garlic salt, pepper and paprika.

Cover and bake in a preheated oven at 450º for 30 minutes. Baste meat and reduce oven to 325º and baste every 30 minutes until meat is fairly tender.

When meat is nearly tender take the meat out and slice it diagonally across the grain. Strain the gravy and place it back in the pan with the sliced meat. This can be done early and reheated just before serving.
