"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
1 c. slightly softened butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated white sugar
2 extra large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
4-4 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and both sugars together. If you have any brown sugar lumps, you should crush them up or pull them our. Add the eggs and the vanilla and mix thoroughly. Add the salt and baking powder and again with the mixing of the dough. Add 3 cups flour, then 1/2 c. flour at a time until the dough is no longer sticky. 3 1/2-4 cups total. If you are going to roll right away, add another 1/2 c. flour. Roll 3/16" thick and cut into desired shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 350ºF for 9-10 minutes. For 1/4" cookies, bake 10 minutes.

Personal Notes:
This recipe is from other cookie decorators on Facebook. These cookies are not as sweet as the regular recipe I use, but are just fine after glaze or icing is used to decorate. There is no spread from this dough so cookies are the shape that they are cut.
