6 cups self-rising flour
3/4 cup butter, cubed and chilled (1 -1/2 sticks)
2 1/4 cups cold milk
6 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º
In a large bowl combine flour and the 3/4 cup of cold butter.
Using your hands or a pastry blender, mix flour and butter until crumbly. Add milk mix well with a fork until just combined.
Gently knead dough a few times until it just comes together. Transfer to a floured surface. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness Using a 3 inch round cutter. Cut about 20 biscuits, re-rolling dough as needed.
Place biscuits on baking sheets, Brush with melted butter. Bake one sheet at a time 12-15 minutes, or until golden.
