4 lb. Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter ( 1 stick )
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives

Directions:
Directions:
In a Dutch oven combine potatoes.
1 tablespoon salt and enough water to cover. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer,
uncovered 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan warm buttermilk, milk, butter and garlic.

Drain potatoes, transfer to a large bowl. Using an electric mixer beat potatoes while slowly pouring in hot buttermilk mixture. Beat until creamy and smooth. Stir in chives, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
