Ingredients:	Ingredients: 1 c sugar ½ c butter 2 eggs ¼ t salt 2¼ c flour 2 ¼ c baking powder ¾ c sugar 1 t vanilla

Directions:	Directions: Sift flour. Measure out 2¼ cups. Add baking powder and sift together 3 times. Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour alternately with milk in small amounts, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
