Dressing:
6 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. wine vinegar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. onion salt
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. ground mustard
1/4 tsp. paprika

8 cups torn salad greens
sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives and croutons

Dressing: In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine all the ingredients; shake well. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Just before serving, in a large salad bowl, combine the lettuce and whatever additions you choose. Drizzle with dressing and toss to coat.

I saw this recipe in an old Italian family cookbook many years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. It is great to have on hand, premade in your refrigerator, to use when needed on your tossed salads. If you use olive oil, let it reach room temperature.
