Directions:
Cream butter & sugar w/ soda, salt, & vanilla. Add remaining ingred. to creamed mixture. Chill dough until firm enough to roll out on floured pastry cloth. (usually 3 or 4 hours). Roll a little sugar on top of dough. Cut and bake @ 425 degrees until brown on greased and floured cookie sheet. This recipe is very old. Do not add any liquid other than eggs.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mother (Lura Carico) would mix the cookie dough and Daddy (Dillon Carico) and Kathryn Carter Foster would make these at Christmas. He would roll and cut them and Kathryn would decorate. Daddy would get frustrated with Kathryn as she would take too much time in decorating. We continue this tradition now only Kathryn rolls and cuts and the great- grandkids decorate. We have also added Bernell, Beth, Jaime, & myself to the mix. It is very messy.....but we have so much fun and I know Mother and Daddy would be proud that we continue this.
