Ingredients:

¼ cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp milk
3 Tbsp butter, melted
2 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
2 large cooking onions, chopped
2 large cooking apples, peeled & thinly sliced

Topping:
½ cup dry bread crumbs
1 cup cheese, grated
1 tsp sage
1 Tbsp melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Measure first 6 ingredients into a bowl. Mix. Add onion & apple. Stir together to coat. Turn into 2 quart casserole. Cover & bake at 350ºF for 1 hour. Remove from oven. Cover with topping & bake uncovered until browned & apples & onions are tender. Serves 6.
