6 cups rolled oats (10 lb makes 8 recipes)
1 cup unsweetened coconut (8 oz. makes 3 cups)
1 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 cup wheat bran
3/4 cup sesame seeds (12 oz. makes 4 recipes)
2/3 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
2 T. vanilla
1/2 cup natural peanut butter



Directions:

Mix together all dry ingredients. Mix together the four wet ingredients and pour into dry ingredients mixing until well blended. Bake at 225ºC on sheet pans for 1-2 hours stirring every 20 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Let cool and store in airtight container at room temperature.

Two recipes makes about 27 c of granola for nine 3-cup gifts.

This recipe is from a Michigan friend, Terri Garner. It is not very sweet and can be personalized by adding dried fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips.
