5        cups  grated cabbage
1        cup  grated carrots
3/4     cup  green pepper -- finely chopped
3/4     cup  grated onion -- 1/2 inch thick
1/2     teaspoon  celery seed
1/3     teaspoon  salt
1/4     teaspoon  black pepper
1/2     cup  apple cider vinegar
1/4     cups  sugar
1/3     cup  cold water
1/2     package  Knox gelatin
3/4     cup  vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat vinegar and sugar together until sugar is dissolved.  In 1/3 cup cold
water dissolve 1/2 pkg. Knox gelatin.  Add to heated vinegar mixture; stir
to blend.  Set aside to cool.

Prepare cabbage, carrots, green pepper, and onion; mix well.

To cooled vinegar mixture add celery seed, salt, pepper, and vegetable
oil.  Mix well and pour over grated vegetables; stir.  Chill 12 hours or
overnight before serving.
