Pie crust:
4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. Sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cups shortening ( or butter)
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 large egg

Pumpkin Filling:
1 large squash ( butternut) or pumpkin
2 eggs
1/3 cup honey
1 Tbsp. oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:

Pie crust:

Mix flour, sugar, and salt in bowl.
Cut in shortening with two knives until crumply.
In a small bowl beat egg, water, and vinegar together and combine the mixtures.
Kneed until a dough is formed.
Let the dough chill for 30 minutes.

Roll out dough and place into pie plate ( use flour if the dough is too sticky)

- I do not prebake the dough, I simply put the filling in it and bake them together.

Filling:

Bake the squash until soft on the inside and scoop out the inside ( first remove the seeds).
Mix all the other ingredients together with squash ( best in blender ) and pour it into the pie plate.

Bake until lightly brown:)

And of course you can enjoy the pie with some Shlagobers!
