1 whole chicken
1 can beer
˝ cup butter, melted
lemon juice to taste
garlic to taste
salt and pepper to taste
sliced lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Open the beer and discard half of it. Make a mixture of the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper and add one third of the mixture to the beer in the can. Place the can in a baking dish and place the chicken on the can. Add thin slices of lemon under the skin of the chicken. Baste with the remaining melted, seasoned butter. Bake for at least 1 ˝ hour at 350 degrees.

This chicken is tasty and very moist. The recipe came from Sabina’s friend, Susan Branstetter. When Sabrina cooks this dish, she is amused to see a whole chicken “standing up” in her oven as it bakes!
