-½ c. extra virgin olive oil
-¼ c. red wine vinegar
-¼ c. sugar
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-¼ tsp. salt
-¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper
-¼ tsp. dry mustard
-¼ tsp. onion powder

Salad:
-2 lb. mixed salad greens (I used red leaf and romaine lettuce)
-1 Red Delicious apple, cored and thinly sliced
-1 Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
-1 c. toasted slivered almonds
-1 c. golden raisins
-⅔ c. thinly sliced green onions
-¼ c. toasted sesame seeds

-Add cooked/grilled chicken to make it a main dish.

-To toast almonds and sesame seeds, put them on a cookie sheet in a low oven (300º) until lightly browned.
-Stir. I do them at the same time. It does not take very long.

-Whisk oil, vinegar, sugar, garlic, slat, pepper, dry mustard and onion powder until blended.
-Cover and chill.

-Toss lettuce, apples, almonds, raisins, green onions and sesame seeds in a salad bowl.
-Just before serving pour dressing over salad and toss.

Don't be intimidated by the number of ingredients. This is a delicious and easy recipe. I have used it as a side salad or I have added grilled chicken and used it as a main dish. This recipe has been a staple for many bridal and baby showers!
