2 pounds beef (shank or chuck)
1/4 cup Lard
1 large onion (chopped)
1/4 teaspoon paprika (I use 10 times that much)
Dash of pepper
Pinch of marjoram (absolutely critical)
Salt to taste
1 glove garlic (mashed)
1 tablespoon of flour
2 cups water (approximately)

Directions:
Fry onion in lard until yellow; add paprika and meat; brown. Add seasonings; pour in 1/2 cup water. Cover and simmer until tender. Add water as it evaporates. When meat is cooked fully, uncover it and let all water evaporate. Dust with flour, stir until brown. Add 1 cup of water. Simmer for 10-15 mins. Serves 4-6.
