2 c sifted cake flour
1⅓ c sugar
2 t baking powder
¼ t baking soda
½ t cinnamon
½ t nutmeg
½ t allspice
1 t salt
½ c Spry™ shortening
½ c unsweetened prune juice
½ c milk
1 t vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and salt into mixing bowl. Whisk to blend completely. Add shortening, unsweetened prune juice, milk and vanilla. Beat for 200 strokes by hand or for 2 minutes with mixer at low speed. Scrape bowl and spoon or beater. Add milk and unbeaten eggs. Again, beat for 200 strokes or 2 minutes, as before. Pour into 2 Spry coated 8″ round cake pans, at least 1½″ deep. Bake at 360º F for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and remove from pans. Spread Prune Whip Frosting between layers and on sides and top.
