Ingredients:  
-1/4 cup butter
-2 cups chopped onions
-4 cups chopped potatoes
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 (10 3/4) can condensed chicken broth
-1 (17 oz) can whole corn, un-drained
-1 (17 oz)can cream style corn
-2 cups light cream
-1/4 teaspoon pepper

-Melt butter in soup kettle.
-Add onions and sauté over medium heat till tender.
-Add potatoes, broth and salt.
-Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer till potatoes are tender.
-Add un-drained whole kernel corn, cream style corn and pepper* and light cream and heat for about 10 minutes, making sure not to let mixture come to a boil.
-Garnish with fresh grown pepper and fresh parsley.

*Can be frozen at this point. When thawed, add cream and continue on with recipe.

I use frozen onions and frozen" southern" style hash brown potatoes.
I always double or quadruple this recipe and freeze it because it is a family favorite.
