Ingredients:
4 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla

1½ Cup Milk
3 Tbsp. Butter (chopped)

1 Deep Dish Pie Crust (unbaked)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit. Move top oven rack to the middle of the oven. Set aside the unbaked pie shell until custard filling is prepared.

In an electric blender, combine eggs, sugar and vanilla. Blend on low speed continuously while preparing milk mixture. Do not be afraid to over blend, as this is not possible.

On stovetop, heat milk and chopped butter until scalded. Do not bring to a boil. Once scalded, remove and add milk mixture to the blender. Continue to blend for 3 minutes.

Pour one half of mixture into pie crust by pouring gently in circular pattern, never pouring in one area only. Place half filled pie onto center of oven rack, then pour remaining mixture into pie shell. Slide oven rack back into cooking position carefully.

Bake for 45 minutes. Custard should appear lightly brown on top and center should be set. Let cool and serve when ready to eat.

This recipe can substitute Splenda for sugar with great results. And remember, blend, blend and blend some more. Blending is the secret to this recipe!
