1 lb. Italian sausage
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. dried basil, crushed
1 (1-lb.) can tomatoes (2 cups)
2 (6-oz.) cans tomato paste
10 oz. lasagna noodles
3 c. Ricotta cheese
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

Brown meat slowly; drain fat. Add next 5 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in large amount of boiling water until tender; drain and rinse. Combine remaining ingredients, except Mozzarella. Place half the noodles in 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spread with half of Ricotta filling, add half the Mozzarella cheese and half of the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Bake at 375º F about 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting in squares.

This can be prepared to point ready for baking and then stored in refrigerator until baking time; however, will require extra baking time. Can also be frozen and baked when needed.
