1/3 cup brown sugar
1 Tbl. soy sauce
dash-cayenne pepper
8 oz. can water chesnuts( whole)
thin slices of pastrami

Directions:

Combine first 4 ingredients and marinate one hour or more.Wrap water chesnuts in slice of pastrami and bake in hot oven 12-15 min. Serve with picks.

This recipe is so old that the paper practically crumbled in my hands, Not sure whose writing it is..but very early meeting as I recall.My recollection also tells me that the pastrami burns very quickly so keep an eye on the broiler!
