Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 eggs
3 cups sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (or any other flavor you wish)
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 stick butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 350 F. Heat milk and butter in sauce pan over low heat just until butter melts. Put eggs in mixing bowl and mix at medium-high speed until light and creamy (about 3 to 5 minutes on my mixer). Slowly add 3 cups sugar and mix again for about 3-5 minutes. In a medium bowl, sift flour and baking powder together. Starting with flour mixture, add 1/3 to egg & Sugar mixture, then add 1/2 of milk & butter mixture. Continue this procedure, ending with flour mixture. (The batter will be thin.) Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour or until done. The secret of this cake is to let the eggs beat very well and then to mix well once the sugar is added to the egg mixture. That is what determines the size (volume) of the cake. Sometimes I put homemade chocolate icing on the top of mine.
