1 1/2 cups half and half
1 cup chive and onion cream cheese
2 T. dried minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 20 oz. shredded hash browns, thawed
2 cups shredded Swiss
3 T. minced fresh chives
2 T. butter, cubed

Directions:
Directions:
In small saucepan, combine first five ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until blended. Transfer to a large bowl. Add potatoes, mix well. In a greased cake pan, layer 1/3 hash brown mixture, 1/3 cheese, sprinkle with 1 T. chives. Repeat. Top with remaining hash brown mixture and cheese, dot with butter. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Uncover, bake 10-20 minutes longer., Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
