Directions:
Trim meat, cut in 1/2" pieces and mix with onion, potato and seasonings. Divide pastry into 4 and roll out into 8" rounds. Divide filling evenly between them. Moisten the edges and draw the pastry together with the join at the top. Ease the filling across the vase, press edges firmly together and twist in a rough wavy line. Place on baking tray, brush with milk or beaten egg and bake in center of 425ºF oven for 15 min. Reduce heat to 325ºF for 1 hour until filling is cooked. If pastry starts to oven-brown, cover with grease-proof paper. Remove from oven and wrap in clean tea towel. Keep in warm place for 15 min until crust softens.
