1 3/4 cup flour
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup vegetable oil
chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl. Then, mix in buttermilk, eggs, and oil.

Preheat the waffle iron and spray with no-stick spray. When the waffle iron is sufficiently heated, pour the mixture into the waffle iron. If desired, sprinkle batter with chocolate chips.

Close iron, and cook until waffles are ready. Repeat the process until you have used all the batter. Serve waffles immediately or freeze them and enjoy them later.
