1 (5-ounce) can of whole water chestnuts, drained
1/2 cup soy sauce
8 strips bacon
1/2 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Marinate water chestnuts in soy sauce for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cut each bacon strip into fourths by cutting lengthwise, then crosswise. Roll each chestnut in sugar, wrap with bacon, and secure with a wooden pick. Place on a rack in a shallow baking pan or on a broiler pan. Bake, uncovered, in a 400-degree oven for about 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm or cover and refrigerate until next day.

To reheat, place on rimmed baking sheets and bake, uncovered, in a 350-degree oven for about 5 minutes or until crisp and hot throughout.
