1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 T. vinegar
13 T. milk
2 cups flour
3 c. rhubarb, cleaned and cut in small pieces
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, salt, egg and vanilla, set aside. Make 1 cup sour milk by combining 3 T. vinegar to 13 T. milk, add 1 tsp. baking soda. Combine this mixture with the shortening mixture. Add rhubarb. Put into a greased and floured cake pan. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with 1 tsp. cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 - 50 minutes.
