1 egg
1 Tbsp. water
6 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 c Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 Tbsp. sugar
salt and pepper to taste
2 - 3 jalapeno peppers chopped from jar or can
8 oz puff pastry, thawed

Directions:

Heat oven to 400*
In small bowl, whisk egg and water until foamy
In medium bowl mix cheeses and sugar. Add salt pepper and peppers and combine.
Roll out pastry lightly with a rolling pin, then spread cheese mixture over surface.
Roll up tightly from the short side like a jelly roll.
Cut into 20 1" slices and place on parchment lined baking sheets.
Brush with egg mixture and bake about 15 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool about 10 minutes before serving

I have used vegetable cream cheese spread and fresh peppers, which need a little sauté to soften.
Really good with meal or as appetizer.
