ripe cucumbers cut in chunks enough to make two quarts
2 red peppers cut up
1 green pepper cut up
4 onions sliced fine
1½ cups chopped celery

Directions:
Directions:
Take ripe cucumbers, remove seeds, cut in chunks enough to make two quarts.

1½ cups chopped celery

Cover cucumbers with 1 tablespoon salt and let stand 2 hours.

Scald cucumbers with salt 5 min. and then drain well.
Add 1½ cups white sugar and 1 teaspoonful turmeric.
Add peppers, onions, celery and 2 cups vinegar.
Put back on stove and cook until cucumbers are soft but not too soft.
