Crust:
3 c. flour
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter, melted

Filling:
8 eggs
4 c. sugar
2/3 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Topping:
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. In a bowl, stir flour and powdered sugar together; blend in butter thoroughly. Press evenly into ungreased pan (half sheet pan). Bake for 12-15 minutes. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, baking powder, salt, and lemon juice together. Pour over crust and bake for 25-30 minutes more. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into bars.(See note below) Sift powdered sugar over bars just before serving.

Half sheet pan is 11 x 17.
For 48 bars, cut 6 lines on the 11 inch side and 8 lines on the 17 inch side (2 by 2 1/8 bar)
For lemon bars I also like to add chopped walnuts or hazelnuts to the crust
