5 egg yolks
5egg whites
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon extract

Italian Pastry cream
3 tbsp. sugar or 10 x
3 egg yolks
3tbsp flour
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups milk
1 tbsp. butter

Rum syrup

1/4 cup rum
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup sugar

Corn syrup frosting

2 cup heavy cream
1/2 -1 tsp vanilla extract
2tsp light corn syrup

Italian Rum Cake directions

Place egg yolks & sugar in a mixing bowl beat until thick & lemon color mixture should be atleast double in volumn about 15 minutes

2. add flour little at a time
3. Gently fold in vanilla and lemon extract
4. Beat egg whites until stiff fold into cake mixture

Bake 375 15 - 35 minutes

take almond slivers and place around sides of cake

this cake when cut disappears as soon as it's cut
