Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 pound butter
1 cup sugar
5 cups sifted all purpose flour
6 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter and sugar.

Add the eggs, beating well after each addition.

Sift the cinnamon with flour.

Roll out the dough, very thin on a floured board (about 1/8 inch thickness).

Cut into rectangles 3x5 inches.

Make 5 cuts lengthwise in the dough about 1/2 inch apart and 4 1/2 inches long.

Fry in deep fryer (360 degrees) for 2 minutes or until they bob to the top of the oil. Remove from oil and place on paper towels. Dust with powder sugar.

When dropping them into the grease, pick them up by the 1st, 3rd, and 5th strips...so that they tangle when dropped into the oil.
