3 to 4 pounds, cut in pieces
1 lemon
1 large onion
1 cup catsup
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. On each piece place a slice of unpeeled lemon, a thin slice of onion.
2. Roast in hot oven 450º for 30 minutes.
3. Combine remaining ingredients; bring to boiling and pour over ribs.
4. Continue baking in moderate oven 350º until tender, about 45 mins. to 1 hour.
5. Baste ribs with the sauce every 15 mins. If sauce gets too thick, add more water.

***I haven't bought spareribs in ages. When I did they were often real meaty with fat and the initial high temperature roasting would melt that off. Also, this may be one of those memories......I fixed these when my kids were growing up.
