2-29 oz. cans pears, save juice
3 oz. pkg. lime jello
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. cream
1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Drain the juice from the pears; set aside. In a medium bowl, mash the pears with a potato masher; set aside. Heat one cup of the reserved pear juice to boiling. Pour it over the jello and stir until dissolved. Cool to room temperature. Beat the cream cheese and cream until smooth. Add the gelatin mixture and beat well. Chill until partially thickened. Fold in the mashed pears and whipped cream. Pour into a 1-quart mold and chill.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This jello recipe is creamy, light and melts in your mouth. It is hard to pinpoint what fruit is in it since the pears are mashed. It is great for potlucks, because young and old can eat it without any large chunks of fruit. It is a very old recipe passed on to mom which we still make on special occasions.
