2 - 3 lbs. chicken wings
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. dry sherry
1 tsp. powdered ginger
3 or 4 star anise

Directions:
Directions:
"Dump" everything into a 4 quart saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to give wings an equal turn in liquid. Remove cover, increase heat slightly and continue cooking 15 minutes. The liquid will thicken to a rich brown glaze. Toss and stir to coat each with sauce as it thickens.
Serve hot or cold.
