2 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
Place the above ingredients in skillet; cook 6 to 7 minutes. Stir constantly from bubble time. Remove from heat and add immediately 2 c. Rice Krispies, dash of salt, and 1 tsp. vanilla. You may also add 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Mix.
Roll in moist coconut a teaspoon at a time and shape into balls.
These set up fast.

This is a family tradition at my house. I got the recipe from a member of the volleyball team I coached...maybe in 1971...for the Lutheran School in Higginsville.
