1 1/2 lb veal steak cut 1" thick
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp. paprika
3 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp salt
1 large onion sliced
1 c sliced fresh mushrooms
1 c commercial sour cream
1 c milk
8 oz noodles
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. poppy seeds

Directions:

Heat oven to 300ºF. Cut steak into 1" cubes. Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a flat dish and roll cubes of veal in mixture. Heat oil in heavy skillet and cook meat until well browned on all sides. As pieces brown put them in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with 1 tsp salt. Add onion and mushrooms to fat remaining in pan (add a little more if necessary) and cook gently until onion is yellow. Stir in cream and milk and heat just to the boiling point. Pour over meat. Cover tightly. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat is very tender. Cook noodles according to pkg directions. Drain well. Add butter and poppy seeds blending them in lightly with a fork. Spoon meat mixture over hot noodles to serve.
