Ingredients:

Short grain Japanese white rice - 2-3 cups as usual in the pot. Cool.

Put cooked rice in a 9 x 13 pan- should be glass. You can make this ahead.

Pour ½ bottle Furakaki (any type) on top of cooked rice

Mix 1 cup sour cream, 1 cup mayo with one entire package of flaked fake crab or real crab or shrimp ( can make ahead, but don’t put it on top of rice till you are ready to broil).

Broil till slightly brown and bubbly

Slice avocado on top

Serve with squares of nori which is sea weed - sea weed gets lip immediately out of the package so only bring out a few at a time. Store in tight container.

Optional to add on top
Sliced avocado
Sliced pickled red ginger, diced and squeeze out the liquid

Directions:
Directions:
Any oriental market you can buy Furikake (any flavor) and nori squares. You can use it over cooked rice when you are serving a meal.

The nori squares are in small packets. Only open one at a time because they get soft and soggy. Never store the nori in the fridge.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When I am too lazy to make sushi I do this pan sushi and folks go ballistic. Store left overs in fridge and then zap in microwave to reserve next day.

You can serve this an an appetizer or a side dish.
