1 c. Milk (or 1/2 & 1/2 if you prefer a richer sauce)
2 T. all-purpose Flour
2 T. Butter
1/4 tsp. Salt
Dash of pepper (or to taste)
Dash of Hot Red Pepper Flakes
1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
1 c. grated Romano (or Parmesan or Italian Blend) Cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

In medium saucepan over medium heat, blend milk, flour, butter & salt and pepper and pepper flakes. Stir constantly until a thick white sauce has formed.

In a separate pot over boiling water, steam cabbage until tender, but firm.

In small coated baking dish, alternate sauce, cabbage and cheese. (I garnish top with shredded pieces of corned beef.)

Bake approximately 30 minutes until sauce and cheese are bubbly.
