Ingredients:  
2/3 c. butter
2 eggs - yolks separated
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
strawberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter & sugar until fluffy
2. Add egg yolks, vanilla & salt
3. Gradually add flour, mixing well
4. Shape into 3/4 inch balls
5. Dip in egg whites & then roll in nuts
6. Place 1" apart on greased cookie sheet
7. Press down centres with thumb
8. Bake @ 350F for 15-17 minutes
9. Cool slightly & remove from pan
10.Fill centres with jam just before serving

This recipe came from my Mother who made them at Christmas time. It is now one of my favourite Christmas cookies.
