1 quart milk
1/4 cup butter
1 cup uncooked grits
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Slowly bring milk to a boil over medium heat. Add butter and stir until melted. Add grits. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is the consistency of oatmeal (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat. Add salt, pepper and egg. Whisk until well combined. Stir in cheddar cheese with a wooden spoon. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and bake for 35-40 minutes at 350.
