1 pkg yeast
3 T sugar
1/4 cup warm water
2 cups sour cream
1 T salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
4.5-5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
combine yeast, sugar and water, allow to proof 5 minutes

put sour cream, salt and soda in mixing bowl, add yeast mixture

add flour cup by cup to make wet sticky dough, scrape out onto floured board, knead, adding only enough flour to prevent sticking (10 minutes)

shape dough into ball, place in buttered bowl, turn to coat with butter, cover let sit til doubled in size

punch dough down, turn onto floured board, knead for about a minute, divide in two

butter 2 9x5 loaf pans, shape dough into loafs, cover loosely, let rise until doubled in size

375º 30-35 minutes
