1/4 light karo syrup

Directions:
Mix (stir) ingredients for the pudding and pour into greased molds. Mom used soup cans. Cover tightly by rubber banding foil over the tops of the cans. Steam for 1 1/4 hours. Mom always put the cans in a water bath in the oven to steam them.
If you double the recipe, it will make 3 #2 1/2 cans.

Mix the sauce in a double boiler and cook until well melted and a little thick.

Slice the pudding and pour some warm sauce over it.

Personal Notes:
This was a delicious Christmas treat. Mom made this when we were growing up and we all looked forward to having this special treat. The sauce makes it delicious! Don't eat the pudding by itself.
