2 small cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
1 large can mixed fruit , drained ( tropical if we could afford it)
2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
2 cups miniature marshmallows (sometimes she used colored minis)
1 (8-ounce) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1 small jar Maraschino cherries (some saved to decorate top)
1/2 cup toasted unsalted nuts (save a few to decorate top)
Pecans.......Walnuts.......pistachios.....all are good

Directions:

Using a rubber spatula, gently fold together all ingredients in a large serving bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Note: Sometimes Mom would add a little unflavored gelatin to cool whip for thicker salad)
