1 stick butter
1/2 c. flour
4 - 10oz. cans beef broth
1/2 c. fresh carrots, diced
1/2 c. fresh celery, diced
1/2 c. onion, diced
1- 8oz. can diced tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
2 cubes beef boullion
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 pound lean ground beef, browned and drained
1 - 10oz. pkg frozen mixed vegetables

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter in a soup pot and allow to melt without browning. Add flour to the melted butter and stir to form a smooth paste. After the mixture is smooth, cook over medium heat, without browning, for 3 minutes stirring constantly. Add the broth and stir until smooth and slightly thickened. Bring to a full boil. Add the fresh vegetables and seasoning with the tomatoes to the boiling soup. Allow the soup to regain the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes until the fresh vegetables are almost tender. Add the frozen vegetables and the browned ground beef, Simmer an additional 15 minutes.
