Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
2 cups butter or margarine
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup sour cream

Filling:
1 1/4 lbs. walnuts, ground
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp. almond extract

1 egg, beaten
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, add the flour, butter or margarine. Using a pastry blender, cut until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add the egg yolks and sour cream; stir until combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until the dough is smooth and can be shaped into a ball. If it is too sticky, add more flour. Set aside or it can be refrigerated if not used immediately. Filling: In a medium bowl, combine nuts, sugar, milk and almond extract: blend well. Divide the dough into 4 balls. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 2-inch squares and place a generous 1/2 teaspoon of filling in the middle of each dough square; fold them over to make a triangle. Pinch closed with a fork. Place on parchment-lined cookie sheets. Brush lightly with the beaten egg. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Personal Notes:
Mom loved these cookies. They take time to make, but the end result is a "bundle of flavor" with every bite!
