Ingredients:  
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. brown sugar packed
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening & peanut butter
2. Add sugars gradually & cream thoroughly
3. Add egg & blend
4. Add dry ingredients & cream well
5. Chill dough
6. Form into balls & place 3" apart on greased cookie sheet
7. Flatten with fork to make criss cross pattern
8. Bake @ 375F for 10 minutes
