2/3 c. oil
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
4 T. molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º F. Mix oil and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture. Roll teaspoon sized balls in sugar to form sugar coated balls. Bake 10 minutes.

This recipe was given to me by Amy Harrington who lived two doors down from the Lawson's in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a soft chewy delicious holiday favorite.
